Maggie Hubbard

Following A-Levels I did Foundation year at Cardiff Art College, then I continued for the next 3 years at University of Leeds, graduating with a degree in Textile Design.

I would have preferred to have studied Fine Art but instinct told me to choose a subject which could guarantee a decent living! Since retiring I have returned to painting, using mostly oils, oil pastel or watercolour – any subject that takes my fancy, but mostly landscape, seascape and marine. Art teaches me that nothing stays the same – neither subject nor technique - it’s constantly evolving.
